The Mechanics:
This architecture couples pneumatic double-membrane geodesic enclosures with agricultural anaerobic digestion and modular, liquid-submerged edge computing. The expansive surface-area-to-volume ratio of the structural dome operates as a passive radiative heat-exchange skin. Beneath the dome floor, continuous-feed anaerobic digesters break down organic agricultural slurry; the thermal energy rejected by the high-density server clusters is actively diverted to heat this biochemical digestion bed to its optimal thermophilic window (55°C), dramatically accelerating biogas output.
The pressurized envelope itself is sustained by the regulated low-pressure capture of the produced biomethane before it enters localized solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). These fuel cells generate off-grid electricity directly powering the compute clusters. The closed-loop thermodynamic transfer eliminates external HVAC requirements: the servers heat the biology, the biological reactions fuel the servers, and the geodesic membrane continuously radiates surplus thermal loads into the upper atmosphere.
Utilitarian Value:
Eliminates grid-dependency and water-intensive cooling towers for distributed AI inferencing while monetizing agricultural waste at the source. This turns volatile rural emissions liabilities into decentralized, carbon-negative data centers with near-zero marginal operational costs.
Target Ecosystem:
Industrial dairy and livestock enterprises, hyperscale cloud infrastructure operators deploying edge networks, and rural industrial microgrids.
